Morgan slowly strolled along the cracked side walk, avoiding every crack. "Step on a crack... break your mother's back..." Morgan recited quietly. It was early in the morning and it was a lazy Saturday. Nothing going on and nothing that had to be done. Morgan walked alone, encasing himself in silence. The sky was cloudy, but there was no expected rain, but still no sun in sight. One foot after the other, slowly, as he walked his imaginary line. "You fall... you fail..." Morgan was keeping to himself a lot these days. He hadn't really put much thought into what was making him feel this way. It must just be the depressing weather.
He was checking on his pack today. He had to make sure everything was is order, and no new problems had shown their face. He had his business entire on. Black pin stripped pants, red tie and a white dress shirt. He didn't plan on staying long, he just needed to iron out some bumps and things like that. Morgan felt deep into his pocket and pulled out a locket. "Don't worry, it will all be fine..." He rubbed the locket with his thumb and put it back in his pocket. The street was more quiet then usual, and it seemed almost eire. Morgan stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and looked at the barren faces that passed by. The weather must be really getting him down. He sighed and leaned up against a building.
He stared up at the cloud filled sky. "I wonder how bad things will be..." Morgan hadn't visited his pack in weeks. He really hopped that they weren't idiots and chose a new leader while he was gone. He pushed himself off the building and continued walking. "Dull, gray and down.... falls this day."

Sydney quietly walk the streets of Kantum, she was tired of hunting this riley Character thateveryone back home was obsessing over, when she had go to visting his brother he had said that Riely had not possesed him and that Riley was a good person so what was the big deal! This is Stupid She thought to hersel as she walk the streets looking at her feet. This is all my parents fault, if mother had stood up to father I wouldn't be here right know. Sydney started to jump on all the cracks she could see, " Step on a crack break your parents back" She called quietly. She walked with he hand gun in its holster that was tied on her leg. her pckets were full of hunting gear including a GPS, rope, bandaids, a knife extra amo and even a music player incase she wanted to stop for a break.
Sydney looked around the town, there were all sorts of people around and alot of them were not human. Although her parents hated anything that was not human she like to convers with other races. She found it fasinating and almost liberating to hear peoples staries and to learn aboutthe different races. " I hate doing this!!" Sydney yelled, at little louder than she plan to yell actually, she could tell that people were starong at her. she looked down sudenly and started to walk faster, she put her music in her ears and played it at full volume. the song was In Too Deep By Sum 41. Sydney sung along quietly. " cuz i'm in too deep and i'm trin' to keep up above in my head insted of going under , insted of going under!"
It was one of her favorite songs and she was starting to feel better until she triped on a crack and fell face first into a hole that was dug by constuction that was fixing the side walk. "Oww, " moned Sydeny "Stupid hole.....why isn't it marked" Sydney procided to try to climb out of the hole but it was really strrp and the bad weather made the dirt wet and slippery. she was having a really hard time.

Morgan continued to make his way along the dusty and broken down sidewalk. Nobody really cared about people's safety anymore, that's probably why the construction crew was having lunch right now and there were no signs of warning, for anything that was a hazards. Morgan stepped over a few gaps in the sidewalk and went around a few jackhammers. All this dirt and dust was going to get his pants messy. There was quite a big hole that Morgan really didn't have to look out for since it took up the entire sidewalk and some of the road. "Nice pitfall," Morgan laughed. Morgan peered inside the pit and saw a girl scrambling to get out.
Morgan's shinning amour instincts kicked in and he jumped down to help her. "Oh dear,"He started. "Can I help you, you seem to be pretty stuck." Morgan fluttered his eyelashes, also out of instincts. He offered his hand and grabbed onto her's without waiting for an answer. "Hold hold," Morgan tightly gripped around her wrist and dug his feet into the ground. This process took only a minute and soon Morgan had helped the unknown girl out of the pit. Morgan breathed a sigh relief. "Well, know that's over with," Morgan dusted of his pants and pulled out a tissue to clean his shoes. "How did you fall down there, I mean it's pretty big to go and miss," Morgan said this as he was polishing his shoes.
Once Morgan's shoes were free of muck his threw the tissue into a nearby garbage can. "Anyway, I might as well introduce myself." Morgan ran a hand through his hair and held out the other hand to shake hers. "My name's Morgan, you may have heard of me. I'm quite popular among people. And what's your name?"

Sydney could tell by how agile Morgan was, that he was not a human, although she didn't quite know what he was. She contemplated giving a false name but decided it would serve no purpose. " I'm Sydney, nice to meet you." She smiled sweetly before adding. "I'm new in town." Syd looked around the town she had not been watching were she was going and seemed to be lost I new I should have stayed home today "So, Morgan was it? Can you do me a huge favor and point me in the direction of the Library?" Sydney wanted to stay and chat but she had a job to do. not that she wanted to do the job but it still had to be done. " Oh, and thank-you for helping me out of the hole back there, you are very strong."
Sydney hoped that she would still be able to make it to the Library before it closed. She had to get some more information before she could continue working. " I'm sorry if i seem a bit rushed but I am in a little bit of a hurry." Morgan's strength had scared Sydney a little, she was not fond of any person or thing that could lift her off the ground with such ease. She kept he had over the gun pouch in her pants just in case Morgan tried anything. "Um, where are we??" Sydney did not want to sound dumb but she really had no idea were she had ventured to. she shyly looked at Morgan and then at her feet. She felt like an idiot.Who gets lost and them falls in a hole.....I am so stupid, S T U P I D
"Look, I'm sorry for waisting you time, I'll just be on my way, I'm sure I can find a store with a map or something, thanks again for helping me.... Have a nice day Sir." Sir, who says sir anymore. AAAHHH I am so dumb. Sydney did not know why she was so flustered when she talked to Morgan but something about him made he feel funny, and she wasn't sure if it was a good funny or a bad funny either. Syd turned and started to walk away, she kept telling herself to run but she just couldn't stop wanting to turn around to see if he was still watching her. She got about four more steps and she couldn't take it anymore, she turned around.

Morgan tried to help the girl find out where she was, but every time he opened his mouth, she would say something else. Morgan was only able to open his mouth to say something, then to close when she quickly interrupted. Morgan almost pouted in front of the girl for not being able to get a word in edgewise, but pouting was not what gentlemen did. He looked down onto he ground then looked back up once the girl had stopped, but, she had stopped because she was walking away now. Morgan rocketed form where he was standing, over to where the girl, Sydney, was now. He stopped dead in front of her when she just turned back around.
Morgan laughed. "You just have to wait for an answer, waiting is part of the key to life." Morgan looked up at Sydney's face and smiled. His cheeks were glowing rosy, the blood flow in his lips made them a pouty pink, his eyelashes were long and fragile, and his eyes were a never escaping forest. Morgan never wore makeup or anything, he was just like this. He grabbed Sydney's hand and shook it. "To make up for my hand shake you turned down." Morgan stated. "Your in the heart of downtown Kantum, on Dundas Road! It's where a lot of businesses and a lot of miss-cared for streets are, as you can see." Morgan out stretched his arms, and displayed the road or her.
"I also don't mind at all to point you in the direction of the library, in fact, if it would be alright with you, I'd like to accompany you to the library." Morgan's smile grew of wide, that it made his eyes close. "I myself was actually heading over to the library!" Morgan exclaimed, somehow still managing to keep his cool. But, this as a lie of course. Morgan was actually just planing of checking up on his packs today, but, a quick trip to the library would probably boost his sprits. Morgan, still holding onto Sydney's hand, pulled it up his his face and gave it a quick kiss on the back of it.
Morgan looked back up at her and noticed she had some dirt on her face from falling in the pit earlier. "Oh dear," Morgan breathed. "Stay still." Morgan reached inside his pocket and pulled out a handkerchief. It was a pure white cotton handkerchief, with a little bit of silk in it to make to soft. The edges of it were embroidered with golden thread, as well, there was Morgan's name with golden thread embroidered in the corner of it. It was in a fancy cursive and it started with a large "M" and continued in much smaller letters with Morgan's name. Morgan rubbed the smooth cloth against Sydney's face to remove the dirt. He breathed softly of her neck as he went. "Almost done..." He whispered. After a few more gentle strokes on her cheek, the dirt was gone. "Alright then," Morgan started as he pocketed his handkerchief. "Shall we go to the library now?"

Sydney was so embarassed, and to make it worse the man came after her and was going to go with herShit, Now what am I supposed to do, I can hunt with a bistander watching my every move, what if he knows Riley and worns him..... Sydney knew better then to say no to a kind gesture so she graciously acceppted the offer ans went woith the man.
After a good five minutes she looked over to the man. Morgan if she remembered correctly and said, "Look, I'm really sorry about earlier, I am not having a great day and I'm a little flusted." Of couse, a little flusted was a major understaitment. "I hope you don't think I am too strange, really I am quite normal." Sydney didn't know weather to tell Morgan why she really wanted to go to the library or if she sould just stick to the story she already told him. She was hunting something but not the someone, she had told him about.
As they kept walking Sydney grew weary of the silence. She woundered if he was really leading he to the Library or if her merly wanted to get her out of the publice eye so he could kill her. REally she had no idea who this man was or what his real intentions were. "Um... Morgan was it, Why are yoyu being so kind to me? I am not trying to be rude but most folks i this town keep to themselves but you seem to be very different from them." Sydney hopes that morgan would tell her the truth but she was not very opptimistic about the odds of that happening so she braced herslf for a heartfelt lie although she was secretly hopeing it would never come.
As the City become more active Sydney saw all the life that was around her. not having her music in gave her a chance to take in the sites and the sounds from all over Kantum. She saw shop workers and children and she even saw a group of men playing with a football. She had been walking the streets for days and yet she had never noticed how alive the city really was untill Morgan had come along.

Morgan turned to face Sydney better and smiled directly in her face. "Why not be friendly? Or maybe I am just an odd one?" Morgan laughed deeply and flipped his hair back. "I do agree with you though. Kantum is mostly a keep to yourself city. With drug dealers, drunks, bums and hookers all about, even during day time!" The brunette looked up at the Grey clouds, hoping that they would clear soon.
"But," Morgan's head shot back down. "There are some kind people like me!" The brunette smiled wider. "You should be more receptive to people, try not to keep to yourself as. If you don't then you'll just end up like the regular scum around here!" Morgan laughed and airy laughed and grabbed onto Sydney's hand. "Come with me!"
Morgan whistle a jolly tune as he pulled Syd down the street. "You see, to stand out here, or just to be different from the crooks of this town, you gotta do a few things." Morgan flipped his nose up into the air and took in a deep breath of the smog filled atmosphere. "You gotta be happy for one thing! Most people who don't contribute to society aren't happy people. Also you have to be happy towards others!"
The wolf boy smiled again and looked up front. The library was straight in his face. "Wow, we're here already?!" Morgan laughed again and kissed the top of Sydney's hand. "Shall we go in then miss?"

Sydney didn't know weather to pull away or to grip Morgans hand in hers and then just like that there they were. The Library. the one she had been trying to find for days. She knew leting the brunette accompany her would really piss off her father, but she also knew that it would keep her fathers workers from risking a check up. She hated when they come around, asking questions and rummaging through her stuff.
"Yes, lets!" She smiled sweetly at Morgan "And ... Thanks." She tood Morgans hand and pulled him inside. "Now" she said to herself "I need the science non-fiction section and the section in which I will find books depicting demoning powers and how to fight them." She also had to keep and eye out for Riley because she knew that he loved to read. She, however did not want Morgan to know that Riley might be in the building.
"So, Mr. Morgan, Where to?"

The girl Sydney was really tripping where she didn't belong when she called him 'Mr. Morgan'. The brunette controlled himself from growling but it was so hard. There were a few reasons why he didn't like to be called, that. One, it made him sound old, most of the time he would be in trouble if he got called that, then some people did that to insult him, but mainly, he just didn't like the ring to.
Morgan calmed himself and smiled again. He knew what Sydney wanted and knew exactly where all of the library books like that were on his desk at home. Morgan tried not to laugh hysterically. No one in Kantum ever wanted to check those types of books out. Not too many people and Kantum even came to the library. So because of that Morgan could easily just renew the books whenever need be and not get into any late fees.
The teen grabbed a hold of Sydney's hand again and pulled her along to her requested section of the library. "Well, you may not find much here. When it comes to things like demons and such, the library doesn't really have that sorta stuff." Morgan smiled at his lie. The only books left in the science non-fiction were books about aliens and some Greek myths for some reason. "I mean, if you can't find what you're looking for, I could help you."
"I'm like a book myself. I know quite a bit about demons and such." The brunette pulled up and chair at one of the lone tables. "Ask me anything you want to know and I'll answer it with every bit of knowledge and truth I have."

"Um, It's not Demons I am wantin to learn about actually, but one inparticular, as you will recall." Sydney looked at Morgan, something seemed strange about him,. amost inhuman. "Um, are you ok Morgan?" She asked," you don't look so good." his time
"I really apretiate you helpin me out like this" She knew that he had taken time out of day to help her and she was really thankful. "Not only did I fall inot a hold and then have a melt down but I also couldn't find the library. you have been a life saver and I just met you. Thnks so much!"
She looked at him right in the face tryin to figure out why he was being so nice to her when he had jsut met her. Just then, out the window behind Moran she noticed that one of her fathers men were looking in toward her and Moran.
She grabed Morgan by the arm and pushed him behind one of te book shelves. "Sorry, I ah, saw someone, i haven't seen in a while, and didn't want to talk to , hehe, I didn't mean to push you like that." she looked down at her feet hopin to god that a)Morgan wasn't mad and b)The Man hadn't seen them.

Such a strange girl... The brunette smiled. He knew something more then regular human activities were on her mind. How did he know? Just a hunch really. Only people with a good sence of the non-human world was as odd as this.
"I'm not sick at all." Morgan reassured and waved his hands in front of his face, "Well, a little sick, but only at the library." He scrunched his nose at the book selves, "You think after having a library here for more then thirty years they would have an enormous collection of book!" The brunette huffed, turning back to face Sydney.
Feeling the slight stickiness from Sydney's hands took Morgan off guard. He grabbed onto the frantic girl's arm and almost flipped her over but quickly remembered she wasn't a threat and pulled an awkward laugh, "Quite the arm you got there." He coughed.
"You really that afraid of talking to this certain person?" Morgan inquired forgetting not to over step the girl's trusting boundaries.
The brunette squirmed out from the force of Sydney and took a step or two back for safe distance sake. "Well, if we have to hide for a bit to avoid your 'friend' of yours," Morgan air quoted with his fingers and laughed, "Why don't you ask away for your demon questions. I'm ninety-nine percent sure I can answer them all correctly."
Fingering through the spines of the old dusty novels next to him, the teen smiled, "How about we start with which element this demon you want to know about is and I'll start blabbering on from there."
